College Rules And Regulations

A. General Rules

1. The Identity Card should be brought to the college every day and is to be produced whenever asked for.
2. Using mobile phone inside the college campus is strictly prohibited. Violation of the rule must be liable to pay a fine or expulsion from the college or both.
3. Smoking, spitting, throwing waste indecently, destroying college property, making noise and loitering in the college campus may lead pecuniary fine or expulsion from the college Or both.
4. Attendance in classes is compulsory. To be eligible to sit for the examinations as a regular candidate, the student should have at least 75% of attendance in classes.
5. All forms of ragging in the college or in the Hostel are strictly prohibited. Strong disciplinary action will be taken against those involved in such activities.
6. The decisions of competent/appropriate bodies on all matters relating to students’ indiscipline shall be final and binding.
7. Each academic session will run as per the Academic Calendar published by the Gauhati University.

B. Examination Rules

1. All students must appear in Unit/Terminal/Sessional test/Examinations conducted by the college. No student shall be allowed to fill up the final examination form without passing in test examinations. In case of illness, sick bed will be provided.
2. The following examinations will be conducted by the College during an academic year:
   Class Examinations
   
   1. HS 1st Year Unit Test and Terminal Test Examination.
   2. HS 2nd Year Unit Test , Terminal and Pre Final Examination.
   3. TDC semester Classes Two unit Tests and one sessional examination in each semester.
3. Result of defaulters on account of College, Hostel, NCC, Sports, Student’s Union, Library matters will be kept withheld.
4. Re-admission of unsuccessful students will be governed by “College Admission Rules”. Expulsion from any examination will lead to the expulsion from the College.

C. College Uniform

1. The College uniform is compulsory for every working day. Students without uniform will not be allowed to enter the college campus.
   For Boys: Blue check formal shirt and Navy Blue trouser.
   For Girls: Navy Blue Pyjama and Dupatta and blue check Kurta.
