The Department of Economics PDUAM, Tulungia was established in the year of 2017. It is one of the prime departments of the college right from the establishment. The Department aims at facilitating a vibrant academic culture, providing a teaching methodology that is grounded in the balancing of economic theory and practices. The Department offers Economics as a UG course and HS level course in regular mode and PG Course in Distance and Open Learning Mode. The department with well-qualified faculties always strives to motivate students for their versatile development. Presently, the department offers both Honours and Generic courses under the present updated CBCS (NEP-2020) framework of B.A and B.Com programme under Gauhati University. The faculty members of the department are always trying to give emphasis on to provide better knowledge among the students. By using modern teaching learning aids the department always committed its students to give best value based education. It is a student-centric department that focuses not only the academic development but also the all-round development of the students regarding practical, career-oriented, and job-oriented aspects and diverse socio-economic fields.
