The Accountancy Department is one of the major departments of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya (PDUAM), Tulungia, Bongaigaon, which has been on a mission to impart quality accounting education since its inception in 2017. The department provides accounting education to all the students enrolled under the undergraduate and higher secondary courses as per the directives of Gauhati University and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. To redress students’ grievances and academic-related discussions other than classroom learning, all the faculties of the department keep themselves actively in touch with the students through various social media. Being an integral part of the institute, the department firmly believes to be socially responsible. Therefore, besides imparting academic education, the department also performs community welfare activities such as conducting various awareness programmes in the vicinity of the institute.

Mission
The mission of the department is to offer various skill-enhancement courses under the CBCS system. Apart from the conventional teaching method, the department adopts student-centric interactive approaches like Brainstorming, Group Discussions, seminar, and Flipped Classroom teaching methods to groom the students.
