About the Department: The Department of Mathematics PDUAM Tulungia started its journey from August 2017 i.e. from the establishment of the college with a view to provide mathematics education among the students at UG (Honours and Regular) and Higher Secondary level. Initially the department was associated with only commerce stream and the course for the commerce stream initiated under the guidance of the founder faculty member Dr. Dipankar Das. In 2021 Science stream was introduced in the college and since then the department offers Higher Secondary in science as well as honours and regular course in B.Sc. also.
The department of Mathematics, PDUAM, Tulungia, Bongaigaon, comprises highly qualified and dedicated faculty members having specialization in diverse areas of mathematics. Apart from teaching, the teachers are constantly engaged in research activities and updating themselves with recent advances in the area.

Mission: The Mathematics department organizes the students for a lifelong learner and responsible citizens. The department provides meaningful support services, responds to the changing environment of Mathematics education and promotes effective, instructional strategies with student’s activity participating in the learning process.

Vision: The department shares the vision of the college of achieving excellence in teaching in order to make it as one of the premier departments of the college and it will always strive to succeed in this endeavor. The Department promotes and supports a comprehensive, innovative and dynamic learning environment that meets the changing needs of the diverse global student population. Our vision is to empower our students with recent technology and advance knowledge in Mathematics.
