The reconstruction and understanding of the past are of paramount importance for protecting and preserving cultural and intellectual heritage, as well as understanding the true spirit of a nation. With this goal in mind, the Department of History was established in 2023 to provide a better facilities for studying and researching the social, economic and cultural history of India and the world. Within the department the students can explore a comprehensive curriculum encompassing various epochs, regions and themes. By offering a robust blend of theoretical frameworks and experiental learning, the Department of History aims to instill a deep appreciation for the complexities of the past while nurturing the researchers for tomorrow.
Mission:
● The Department of History prepares students for a wide range of careers by teaching a core set of transferable skills through the study of societies, cultures, politics and economies across a broad chronological and geographical spectrum.
● Mould the students as ideal citizens with deep knowledge of history which professes unitty in diversity of our country and prepare the students to lead to ensure peace, harmony and prosperity for all.
● Encouraging our students via field trips and group activities to actively engage with the past not as passive spectators but as participants.

● The department seeks to provide unique learning experience for a student to built and facilitate the students understanding of elaborate social phenomena in order for them to lead a life of greater awareness and responsible citizenship.
● Department is keen in developing interdisciplinary inquiry in the field of history. It will enhance the sphere of history by including various fields of historical studies; like Archaeology, Social History, Cultural Studies, Anthropology and Archaeology.
● The Department of History seeks to build its students employability and intellectual curiosity along the past and its legacies through teaching, research and service activities conducted locally or statewide.
